Fink have long displayed a talent for finding rapid affinity with each musical environment they find themselves in.Their recent album Hard Believer, is a case in point - recorded in LA, it saw the band explore a rockier, moodier, hypnotic side that paid off in a giant musical leap forward.

Fink have long displayed a talent for finding rapid affinity with each musical environment they find themselves in.Their recent album Hard Believer, is a case in point - recorded in LA, it saw the band explore a rockier, moodier, hypnotic side that paid off in a giant musical leap forward.

For the last six months, when not on tour, Fin Greenall - chief songwriter and founder of the band - has been based in Berlin. The results of this residency in the beautifully brutal German city are plain to see in the remix package for album standout Pilgrim.

Paula Temple - R&S signee and daring techno head turner - turns "Pilgrim" into a broodingly atmospheric dancefloor predator. Classically trained techno titans Brandt Brauer Frick’s remix is compulsive, with a chiming ear-worm melody of criss-crossing washing textures and glitchy, driving drums. Moda232 sees Greenall return to his own electronic roots with an ominously beautiful slice of textural techno. Finally, Paula Temple loved "Pilgrim" so much that she even delivered an ambient take on her own remix to bewitch and beguile.

The video for "Pilgrim" has just been unveiled, and it too plays on the interplay of light and dark in beautiful Berlin, the first music video by skate film legend Foley.
